12 Hours Access

Our wedding packages at The Venue at Oak Place are designed to provide you with a minimum 12-hour rental time frame, ensuring ample time to create and celebrate your special day. However, exceptions apply for micro weddings or elopement packages, where we can customize the rental duration to suit your unique needs and preferences. Our goal is to offer flexibility and tailor the experience to make your wedding day truly unforgettable.

Kitchen & Prep Space

The Steel Fowler at The Venue at Oak Place comes complete with a full-service kitchen, providing your chosen catering team with ample prep space for your significant event. Our additional cooler space, oven, and stovetop further enhance the capabilities of the kitchen, ensuring that your catering needs are met with efficiency and versatility. Tented Ceremony

A tented ceremony at The Venue at Oak Place is a splendid choice, as our property provides the perfect space for such an enchanting setting. With the ability to tent the left side of the property, we can bring your outdoor ceremony vision to life. Additionally, this space can be transformed into the outdoor reception of your dreams, offering a seamless flow from ceremony to celebration.

"East Huntsville” Building

1 Hour Rehearsal Time

For the Ellen and Susan Packages at The Venue at Oak Place, a one-hour rehearsal time is guaranteed. If your wedding falls on a weekend with a Friday night event booked, we will provide a rehearsal time slot during the week to ensure you have ample opportunity to prepare and coordinate for your special day. Our aim is to accommodate your needs and make the rehearsal process as smooth as possible.

Six Restrooms

At The Venue at Oak Place, the Steel Fowler House features six unisex restrooms, providing convenience and accessibility for your guests. Additionally, the East Huntsville Building offers two women's restrooms and two men's restrooms, ensuring that your event has ample restroom facilities to accommodate the needs of your attendees. Our goal is to enhance the overall experience for you and your guests by providing comfortable and well-appointed facilities.

On-Site Staff

Is Oak Place a wedding venue only?

No! The Venue at Oak Place welcomes any type of event. Weddings, corporate events, conferences, birthday parties, workshops and more – we do it all!

How many people can the venue accommodate?

The maximum capacity of the venue is 250 people indoors, we located on 4 acres and the possibilities for outdoor events are endless.

Do you offer affordable event rates?

We want to works with all budgets. Rental rates are based on what portions of the venue are rented and the hours needed. We do offer Micro Wedding and Elopement Packages but not limited to just weddings, we host parties, corporate events, workshops and more

Do we have to use your preferred vendors?

No, We are vendor-flexible. As long as your vendor is licensed and insured we would be honored to work with them on your special occasion

What type of Insurance do you require?

WE REQUIRE EVENT liability INSURANCE WITH EVERY EVENT**

What is your alcohol policy?

For beer and wine, you must have a bartender. No self-serving! For liquor, you have to have a licensed bartender and a security guard on property. Guests cannot have their own bottles of liquor. We are not responsible for serving alcohol or alcohol consumption.

Do I have to rent chairs? Do you have tablecloths?

We have limited inventory of tables and chairs. We do have six 60-inch round tables, ten 8-ft rectangle tables, two 4-ft square tables, and 175 banquet chairs for a low rental fee. Feel free to rent more if needed. We do not have tablecloths.

Are we allowed to bring in decorations?

Yes you may bring in your own decorations. However all decorations must be removed by 11pm. Candles are permitted but must be battery-operated. No nails, tape, tacks, or command hooks on the walls. All send offs must be approved by the venue manager

When is my wedding rehearsal?

Friday rehearsals are subject to availability. If the venue is booked the day prior to your event, Tuesday-Thursday practice rehearsals are an option

How do I secure my wedding/event date?

A signed contract and a deposit of 50% of the total rental amount are due in order to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to event.
